CS U CRAIOVA v OTELUL GALATI 

 "Ion Oblemenco" Stadium will host today the duel between CS U Craiova and Oţelul Galaţi, the match will be held in the round number 7.

Universitatea is in need of a win to leave the last position of the championship. They have obtained only two points in six matches, given a series of three consecutive defeats. After the failure suffered by 0-5 against Astra, CS U became the team with the worst defense in the Liga 1.

Ionel Gane was sacked as coach due to poor results that the team has got in the start the season, his place being taken by Emil Săndoi. Along with former coach of the youth national team came Sorin Cârţu, who be the technical director. The new combo on the bench will not be able to count on Mateiu, who is injured. Universitatea bought in the past few days Bawab, Târnăcop and Gangioveanu, but Irimia and Neacșa left the team.

Otelul had also a very modest start of the Championship. Galaţenii got back on track in the last round, when they easily defeated Rapid by 2-0 at home. Both goals of the team were scored by Cristian Cristeam who incidentally became the team's top scorer. Guests of this meeting were defeated by Concordia Chiajna with the score of 1-2 in a friendly match, which took place Saturday. They have achieved two draws in three away games performed in the current edition of the Championship.

Marcel Avdic was sent off in the match and is suspended for today's game. Otelul bought ex-striker Jula, Tavares, Grădinaru, Popa and Brigido. Florin Cernat has still not responded to the offer.

Craiovenii will certainly force the victory tonight, because they need all three points to move up the leaderboard. Universitatea played quite well in some matches of this season, but we can say that they had little bad luck, especially in the first part of the Championship. Otelul is a pretty modest squad, whose single notable result is the victory against Rapid. If we look a little over the two rosters we can remark the fact that CS U looks better, they had more financial stability and motivation will be high at home in front of their fantastic fans, so I rely on home WIN today.
