SPAIN v POLAND
Spain will try to make a good tournament, because they have experienced, top-class players in the squad : Aguilar, Pena, Barbosa, Martin, Navarro. The main problem can be the team-chemistry, because the selected players are playing in 12 different teams.
Poland hasn't big chances to qualify from this tough group, they will probably finish on 4th spot. Without Byzdra, who is injured, Wojtas and Kudlacz have to lead the team, but will be very had for them. I think Spain will win this match, so we can try an interesting bet on them :

NORWAY v ROMANIA
Many experts including the bookmakers consider Norway as the favourite to win the gold medal. From my point of view, for sure, they are a very experienced team, but a few important players are missing and the stars players who came for this tournament are playing at top clubs and they had an exhaustive season. For example, the best player of the team, Heidi Loke, is playing full-time at Gyor.
Gheorghe Tadici is an ambitious & aggresive coach, who always had great performances with the national team and for sure he has special tactics to surprise the huge favourite today. Aurelia Bradeanu, the most experienced player of the roster has been recovered after a back injury and she can play today. Cristina Neagu is the leader, main scorer and the engine of the team, Romania has to create chances for her to score, if Romania will make a strong tournament, she has chances to be the best scorer of the championship. Defence will be the key of the game, they have to stop Loke, and without Manea, the wings will play a big role for Romania.
Norway will run a lot in this game, Romanian girls has to do the same, if Neagu will have a great match and Loke will be stoped, they have a great chance to get something from this match. Interesting tips :

DENMARK v UKRAINE
Denmark can make a huge tournament this year ! The players are in a very good shape, team chemistry is very good and the players has great potential including a few young world-class players. Their tactics is based on an aggresive, tough defence and quick counter-attacks.
Ukraine is a weak team, their stars gave up playing for the national team and with this roster they have minimal chances to get something in this group.
I expect a clear Denmark win, you can choose one of these handicaps on the favourite :

HUNGARY v RUSSIA
I'm a Hungarian fan, so probably I will be a bit subjective with the national team's matches, but honestly I'm a bit surprised that they are booked with first/second chance to win the gold medal. I think Hungary is a little bit overrated for this tournament even if they play at home, but I hope I'm wrong :). Gorbicz Anita, the best player of the world, is missing and she was 80% of this team. I hope Szucsanszy Zita, Tomori Zsuzsanna and Kovacsics Aniko will cover her absence with brio.
Russia with Yevgeni Trefilov on the bench is always a tough opponent, they always play aggresively, especially in defence. Honestly, I don't know much about the Russian players, but I expect Hungary to play very determined in this first match and to win this match maybe just in the last 15 minutes, because probably will be balanced battle.
